According to a report from the New York times this week by Maggie Haberman, the DOJ officials at the DOJ say that they cannot believe a single word that Donald Trump's lawyers are telling them as they continue to have talks, negotiate, whatever it is, they can't believe what Trump's lawyers are telling them. And believe it or not folks, it's not actually because Donald Trump just has the worst lawyers in the country, which, you know, arguably at least in my opinion, I think he does, but it's because the report says Donald Trump is so shifty that he changes his mind so frequently. And of course that he withholds information, even from his own legal team, that the DOJ can no longer believe whatever it is that his lawyers are telling them because they think even these lawyers don't know the truth. Trump's representatives have said they operate under the assumption that none of his attorneys can speak with authority for the former president, knowing he's liable to change his mind in a moment or withhold information from his own representatives. Of course, this means that Donald Trump is probably in a lot more trouble than he otherwise would be. And here's why I say that that's not the downplay that even if they could believe his lawyers, he wouldn't be in trouble. He's absolutely still in trouble. But what this means is that as these lawyers continue to cooperate, negotiate, you know, whatever it is with DOJ officials, these same officials understand that whatever information the lawyers are giving them is likely either false because Trump's already changed his mind or is totally incomplete. Know, know as any good lawyer will tell you, they can only do so much with what their client gives them. And if their client withholds information, if their client lies to the lawyer that can and will, and frequently does completely destroy a case, like absolutely just 100% kills it. And that could be the situation that we are dealing with with regard to Donald Trump, based on what the DOJ seems to believe now, believe is the important part there, because we currently do not know if Donald Trump is withholding information from his legal team, or if he's lying to them, or if they're lying to the DOJ, we don't know any of that, right? This is all speculation from the New York times, but it is something that Donald Trump's legal team needs to consider. You're trying to negotiate in good faith, but your client, Donald Trump might not be engaging in good faith conversation with you to begin with, which could make you look very stupid in front of both the DOJ.
