It has only been a few days since Alex Jones endorsed Ron DeSantis for President saying that he was "way better" than Donald Trump, and Jones has already walked back his statements and is begging Trump for forgiveness. Jones released a video imploring Trump to watch the whole clip "in context," but the context doesn't change what Jones said at all. Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

So last week, Alex Jones came out on his show and said that he is endorsing Ron DeSantis because in Alex Jones, own words, DeSantis was better than Trump. Way better than Trump. He said better than he said way better than Trump. And in fact, he went as far as to say that Ron DeSantis is the kind of guy that Donald Trump needs to try to be like. So Alex Jones put his full weight behind Ron DeSantis for president in 2024. That was less than a week ago. This week, Alex Jones has come out and said, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I never said the things that you're accusing me of saying, in fact, it's all taken outta context. And Alex Jones on his show this week is imploring Donald Trump to forgive him and please Donald watch the full clip in context, cuz the media's trying to make it seem like I said something.

I didn't say a lot of times clips do get taken outta context. They get posted all over social media and you miss a lot of what the person is actually saying. In this particular case, there is literally no other way to slice what Alex Jones said. He said that he has done pig. Headedly supporting Donald Trump and only did it cuz he wanted to keep Biden outta the white house. And then he said, Ron DeSantis is way better. And that Trump should try to be like him. That is what you said. That's what you said in your quote emergency message.

And then in your second emergency message, you're begging Trump. Please don't buy into what the media saying. It's all a lie. It's all a farce. No it's not. It's on tape. The clip is readily available for anybody that chooses to see it. And more importantly, why are you afraid of Donald Trump? Probably for the reason that I pointed out when I talked about this last week over at ring of fire because Alex Jones unfortunately has a lot of sway, right? His followers are essentially sheep. They will do whatever he tells them to do. But there does come a point where they will draw the line. So if you have a lot of Magaha Trump flag waving idiots that are part of your audience and you come out and endorse somebody else, they're gonna be mad. The rest of your audience might go right along with it and say, okay, yeah, we're DeSantis people now. But those Magaha folks, they're not gonna accept that. They're not gonna buy your reasoning and they're gonna get mad and they're gonna tune out. And that is, I think what Alex Jones is so afraid of right now. That's why he's backpedaling and saying that we are all lying about what he very clearly said on video. Not because he wants to appease Donald Trump, but because he wants to appease those Trump supporters. So my

Guess is that Alex Jones was probably inundated with angry comments, emails, whatever, from his viewers after the segment. And that's what made him realize, oh crap, I can't afford to lose all of these people. I have to walk it back. Somehow. As far as I have seen Donald Trump never issued a statement about it. You know, anytime Donald Trump sends out a truth or a statement from the office of the 45th, yada yada, it makes the headlines because that's just what people do. And I never once saw him attack Alex Jones for saying this. So for Jones to come out, put this video out, begging Trump to forgive him and to watch the whole clip. I don't think it was for Trump at all. I think he's trying to hoodwink his own viewers into believing what they had seen. They didn't actually see. And unfortunately Jones's supporters are stupid enough to believe when he tells them that he didn't say what they all very clearly heard him say.
