Kevin McCarthy Begs Donors To Blame The Crazies For Midterm Failures

Kevin McCarthy might be catering to the worst that the Republican Party has to offer in his office, but behind closed doors he's blaming the same kinds of people for all of the GOP's problems. Axios is reporting that McCarthy is telling donors that the low quality of the candidates in the midterms hurt the Republican Party's numbers, and that they just need a little more money to prevent that from happening again. House speaker Kevin McCarthy has, uh, basically gotten to where he is this year by pandering to the worst of the worst that the Republican Party has to offer in the House of Representatives. He is letting the crazies, I guess, kind of run the party and they've stripped him of a lot of his power, and they can completely strip him of his power thanks to one of the concessions he made where a single member can voice an objection and suddenly he's not the speaker anymore. And of course, this past week he gave 41,000 hours of January 6th footage exclusively to Tucker Carlson. So yeah, I'd say it's pretty safe to say that Kevin McCarthy is pandering to the crazies, but behind closed doors, Kevin McCarthy is telling a different story. Kevin McCarthy recently, actually last weekend at a, uh, Ritz Carlton in Florida at a donor retreat, was telling the wealthy financiers of the Republican Party that don't blame me for the problems of the G O p, was the crazies at the top of the ticket.

What cost us the midterms in 2022, or at least cost us from having the 70 seat gain that we had predicted and ended up with 10. So, yeah, it's not my fault it's those crazies up at the top of the ticket, but those are the same kinds of people, even though they lost, but you're still pandering to the same kinds of people in the actual House of Representatives.
