Lawyers Claim Former Trump Lawyer Has 'Gone Missing' To Avoid Subpoena

The lawyers for a pair of Georgia election workers claim that former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis has "gone missing" as they continue to try to serve her with a subpoena. Ellis recently moved from Colorado to Florida, but even after hiring a private investigator the lawyers have been unable to find her to serve her with a subpoena. Ellis isn't even a target of the lawsuit that has been filed - just a witness with valuable information, so the "hiding" makes no sense. Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

According to lawyers for two, uh, Georgia election workers who of course have sued multiple entities, including Rudy Giuliani for defamation, uh, Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss, who were dragged absolutely through the mud by Republicans following the 2020 presidential election. Lawyers for these two women say that Jenna Ellis, former Trump lawyer, is missing. Now they're not to the point where they need to go file a missing person's report because we know that of course, Jenna Ellis is alive and well. She is very active on social media. Uh, she's been in the actual media. We know nothing bad has happened to Jenna Ellis. She's not actually missing, but for the purposes of serving her with a subpoena, which is what these lawyers have been trying to do for months now, they cannot find her. Here's what's happening. Uh, Ruby Freeman and Sha Moss, uh, as I said, they've sued multiple entities for defamation.

They've already settled with One America News and they have a pending lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani. Uh, cuz of course, Giuliani had claimed that these women, you know, were part of the scheme to put these fraudulent votes out there, you know, the boxes from under the table, all of that crap. That was totally untrue. So they're suing Giuliani and Jenna Ellis is supposed to be a witness for Giuliani in this upcoming trial. So because of that, lawyers for, for Freeman and Moss say, okay, well we want to depose her. We want to get her in a deposition. So we've issued this subpoena. You know, we, we need to know what she's gonna say. We need to figure this out. She is not a target of the lawsuit. Like that's what's important here. She's not a target based on the information she maybe should be, I guess, in my opinion.

I think she should be, but she's not. You're just a witness. But what happened is that Jenna Ellis recently moved from Colorado to Florida, and they don't know her address. They can't find it anywhere. They even hired a private investigator to find Jenna Ellis. And then for the life of them, they cannot find her to issue this subpoena, to get her to sit for a deposition. And again, this is an individual, Jenna Ellis, who has been in conservative media. Uh, she's not in hiding. She's active on social media. And if she knows these lawyers are trying to find her, which I'm sure she does, why doesn't she just reach out to them and say, Hey, sorry, here's my address. Uh, I'll be more than happy to come and, and do the deposition. I mean, Jenna Ellis is a lawyer. She knows that avoiding this subpoena for too long is not gonna end well for her. And it's definitely something that can and will be used against Rudy Giuliani, possibly even her in trial. So why are you hiding Jenna Ellis? Why are you quote missing? As these

Lawyers have basically described it as a lawyer, you know, the ramifications for doing this. And again, at this moment, you're not even a target. Like you have nothing to be afraid of. Uh, at least as far as we know, unless you're worried that maybe giving a deposition might get you embroiled in the lawsuit as well. Is that why you're not reaching out to these lawyers saying, Hey, here I am. Here's my address. I'll see you tomorrow morning. Maybe that's why, maybe you're trying to protect yourself. And if that's the case, that's still not gonna end well for you because eventually it is all going to come out. I mean, you're going to act as a witness for Rudy Giuliani in the trial, so they're gonna have the chance to talk to you. You may as well do it before the trial. Get everything out there in the open before something really bad happens with you when you're on that witness stand and the lawyers for Freeman and Moss get the chance to question you in front of a jury, cuz I'm willing to bet talking behind closed doors in a deposition would probably go better for you than being confronted by these people again in front of that jury.

That's not gonna end well. So you may as well go ahead and message those lawyers right now, let 'em know where you're at. Otherwise it's going to be very unpleasant for everyone involved when this thing goes to trial.
