Audience Boos Sean Hannity After He Suggests Trump Could Tone Down The Insults

Fox News host Sean Hannity held a fact-free town hall event with Donald Trump this week, and the anchor quickly got upset with the audience after they turned against him. At one point, Hannity suggested that Trump could "tone it down" a bit with the insults and maybe be more selective in picking his battles, and the audience had a fit. On Thursday of this week, Sean Hannity of Fox News held a, uh, bit of a town hall with Donald Trump. It wasn't a full town hall like what CNN did, but it was basically just a propaganda piece for Fox News to be able to show Donald Trump that we still love you. For Hannity to be like, I still love you. Let's get my viewers back, loving you. But at one point during this little town hall in Iowa, Sean Hannity said something that off that Trump loving audience to the point where they actually booed the Fox News host. So what, what on earth could Sean Hannity have said to Donald Trump to make that audience boo him? Well, let me read it for you. This is Sean Hannity, the abridged Sean Hannity. People ask me, why does he have to fight so hard? Why doesn't he pick his fights a little more?

Why does he have to call people names? And the only reason I think this is an important question is because these, uh, I think everyone here tonight is likely voting for you, right? So then Hannity says, it come, comes down to those people that maybe are in the middle a little more, just tone it down a hair, stop a little of the name calling, and the audience immediately booed. People were shouting, no, it's not what Hannity wanted, Hannity says. He was just bringing up like, Hey, I talked to people that are in the middle. No, you don't. First, first of all, but a lot of these folks wish you would tune it, uh, tone it down. A lot of these folks wish you wouldn't just fight everybody. Like you take everything so personally because you're a little bitty snowflake. Maybe don't have to fight everybody and spend all of your time attacking people and name calling.

Maybe just not do it as much as you're doing it. And the audience got. And then of course, Sean Hannity got that the audience got. So Sean Hannity, once the crowd started booing, says this, I said, it's their question, leave me alone. It might help you with swing voters that are needed for you to get over the finish line. Leave me alone, is what Sean said. Like, stop it. You're being mean to me. Now, I was just bringing up a question and now you're all yelling at me, and I don't like it.

This is a professional, uh, newscaster by the way, telling an audience that is booing him. Leave me alone. I'm surprised at that point, Sean Hannity did not stand up, run off stage and go cry in the corner as his producer consoled him, because that's what it sounds like he wanted to do. Leave me alone. Way to go. Sean didn't realize you were actually a four year old trapped in the body of an ignorant conservative man. But believe it or not, Sean Hannity's got a point, and I think that's what Sean Hannity wanted to say before he got all emotional and took it all personally. Uh, Eddie

Again, still tried to, but here's the thing. Republicans love to dismiss criticism of Trump from the left saying like, oh, you were so mad about the mean tweets. Say, no, we weren't. I mean, we did segments on 'em. It provided us with a lot of content. I mean, CNN only survived the Trump years because they would turn a mean Trump tweet into 12 hours of coverage. A lot of progressive channels on YouTube. Let's be honest, guys. We ran so many segments based on Trump name calling people that hey, paid off a lot of your student loans, didn't it? And I know because I talked to a lot of the folks, whether they wanna admit it or not. Yeah, it helped us all. But at the same time, it was also horrible to see this conduct from the president of the United States, which by the way, is what all of us talked about as well.

We weren't just repeating it for views, we were calling it out and saying how disgusting and unprofessional it was. But it wasn't just the mean tweets. The mean tweets, of course, were just part of it. The name calling was just part of it. Most of it, of course, was his horrendous policies. But Sean Hannity has latched onto that Republican talking point that, oh, everybody was just mad about the mean tweets.
