Indicted Republican representative George Santos, decided to not do himself any favors with the public this past weekend. And he appeared on a conservative podcast where he compared himself to beloved civil rights icon, Rosa Parks. Now, I'm gonna read you this quote from George Santos in just a second here. But here's the thing. You, and by you, I mean literally everybody out there really have no grounds to compare yourselves to civil rights icons or anyone involved in the Civil Rights Movement unless you are currently out there fighting for civil rights right now. And yes, we do need to have that fight right now, but if, if you're not actually out there doing things to bring equal rights to individuals, to persecuted individuals, then don't ever invoke civil rights icons by comparing them to yourself, especially when you're somebody like George Santos who is under multiple counts of an indictment for fraud and embezzling and all kinds of things where he is likely going to spend a couple decades behind bars.

But Santos himself doesn't see it that way. He sees himself as a victim. He has Rosa Parks on that bus saying, I'm not giving up my seat. So here's what this little knit wit had to say. They come for me, I go right back for them because I think for far too long they've gotten away with going along to get along. So no, it's not going to stay that way anymore. I'm gonna call them out. You want to call me a liar? I'll call you a sellout. I mean, Mitt Romney, the man goes to the State of the Union to the United States wearing a Ukraine lapel pin tells me a Latina gay man that I shouldn't sit in the front and that I should sit in the back. Well, guess what? Rosa Parks wouldn't sit in the back and neither am I going to sit in the back. That's just the reality of how it works.

So you brought up the fact that you're Latino. You brought to the fact that you're a gay man, and you brought those up as if that's why Mitt Romney told you to not sit down in the front. See if that had happened, then maybe I could see your point a little bit. Like if MIT Romney said, Hey, you're gay. Go sit in the back, then yeah, you'd be making a stand by not listening to him. But Mitt Romney confronted you because you had lied about so much. And granted, this was early in the year, folks, we didn't know half of the crap the George Santos was lying about at that point. He was not under criminal indictment yet, and hell, he wasn't even under most of the criminal investigations that he is still under Mitt Romney just knew optics

And he thought, Hey, if we put this guy who's getting more negative publicity than any other Republican in the house up front, we are gonna have a very bad optics problem. Could you not sit up here? Not to mention you've only been in Congress for a couple days at this point, so maybe let some of the senior members take these spots up front. But George Santos wants to be the victim.

You do seem to have a lot of bigotry within your party, but those of us on the left that have been criticizing and attacking you and calling you out have been doing so because you're a fraud. You defrauded those voters. And granted, that's not something that you've been indicted for. That really is one of the more serious things that you did. Those people in that district who put you in Congress in the first place voted for a man who doesn't actually exist. You fed them a lie and they voted for the lie. And now those constituents have a member of Congress who's not on any committees anymore, and you're likely going to prison, but you are not in any way a civil rights leader. You are not making a stand and trying to bring equality to anyone. You're a scared, selfish little weasel who based on everything we know has kind of been scamming people for years and years, it just finally caught up with you and you're terrified of having to pay the price for that. You're not Rosa Parks, you are pretty much just a run of the mill conman.
