Former Fake Elector Turns Against Trump In Arizona

A man that served as one of the fake electors from the state of Arizona has now turned against Donald Trump and is helping to bankroll a political action committee aimed at keeping Trump from ever getting into office again. The only problem is that the effort isn't to stop a lunatic from holding power - the entire thing is happening because the fake elector thinks that Donald Trump has gotten too soft and apparently isn't extreme enough anymore. Farron Cousins explains this dangerous way of thinking that is becoming more and more common in the MAGA crowd.

There's a new super PAC originating outta the state of Arizona called Action Speak louder than tweets PAC. And this PAC has one purpose. It is to make sure that Donald Trump is not the Republican nominee in 2024. This political action committee wants to keep Donald Trump away from the White House. So you would, you would think obviously, that actions speak louder than tweets PAC, probably funded by a bunch of liberals or a bunch of, you know, these moderate mely mouth Trump hating moderate Republicans, right? Well, no, it turns out the man bankrolling this political action committee to the tune of $24,000 happens to be a former fake elector from the state of Arizona. He was part of the fake slate of electors that wanted to say Trump won Arizona even though Biden won. So why on earth is this former fake elector, who, by the way, all the fake electors in Arizona are currently under investigation? Why is he suddenly turning against Donald Trump? Has he seen the light? Does he realize the error of his ways? This man, uh, Jim, uh, Lamon is his name, has Mr. Lamon finally realized, oh crap, I was in a cult. I need to get out of this. You know, he's fighting hard to make sure Trump's not the nominee.

No, Mr. Lamon has not, in fact seen the light and his grievance with Donald Trump is that Donald Trump has gotten too soft. Now, Mr. Lamon, of course, does have a personal ax to grind against Donald Trump because Lamon did run in the Republican primary last year for that nomination for the Senate seat that ultimately was won by Blake Masters, who was endorsed by Trump. So Lamon says, listen man, I was one of your fake electors. Like I put myself on the line for you and you endorsed the other guy. Oh, I'm gonna make sure you don't get it. So this group action speak louder than tweets has been putting out ads, talking about how Donald Trump endorsed MIT Romney talking about all these so-called moderate positions that Donald Trump takes, like, you know, his supportive red flag laws for gun owners, which is supported by a majority, like a super majority of people in the country, including a super majority of NRA members. Like most people want this. Almost all people want that. But list, uh, Mr. Lamon of course says hell no, Donald Trump's not extreme enough cuz he supports this. So Jim here is now supporting Ron DeSantis cuz he thinks, of course, DeSantis. That's the new extreme guy. That's the new far right lunatic that I'm gonna hitch my wagon too. Now here's the problem with all of this, aside from it just being so stupid, is that the MAGA movement,

I think unfortunately can survive without Donald Trump because this isn't the first place we're seeing something like this happen, right? If this was just a one-off event, because this guy apparently is the only funder for his political action committee. So, you know, he is not exactly attracting a lot of people, but we're seeing it in Georgia. We're actually seeing it throughout Marjorie Taylor Greene's district. Those folks are getting mad because they think Marjorie Taylor Greene has become to establishment and she's not extreme enough for them anymore. There is a base for this hard right extremism that we're seeing in the country, and when their favored politicians suddenly go soft on 'em or become to establishment, they'll move on and they'll find somebody else who's, who's ex as extreme as they want them to be. So it's not necessarily tied to single personality. They can move on and find even worse people.

And that's what's scary for the future of this country. Now, I don't think a majority of the Trump base continues down this path if Trump goes away, but I do think that we now have to deal with this as a permanent present, uh, a presence, albeit a minority, permanent presence in our political system. These extremists have found their voices, these extremists are here to stay. So this is something, and this, this story to me is proof of it that we're gonna have to be dealing with possibly forever, but definitely long after Donald Trump is out of the picture.
