According to Mar-a-Lago member Anthony Pratt, an Australian billionaire, Donald Trump used to brag to him about what he was doing as President, likely revealing state's secrets that he wasn't allowed to spill. This revelation came from a recording of Pratt, who has spoken at length with special prosecutor Jack Smith regarding Trump's hoarding of classified documents. If what Pratt is saying is true, it could easily doom Trump at trial, as Farron Cousins explains.

Australian billionaire and Mar-a-Lago member Anthony Pratt has been in the headlines for the last few days after audio recordings were revealed, showing Pratt talking about how Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago while he was president, was basically spilling state's secrets according to Mr. Pratt. Let me read you a little bit of this. Pratt says that Donald Trump told him before it had made the national news that that day, you know, whatever day it was, he bombed a rock. Hadn't been in the news, nobody knew about it yet, but Trump told Pratt that the United States just bombed Iraq. And here's what it says, it hadn't even been on the news yet. And he said, I just bombed a rock today. He then said that Trump said, quote, the president of Iraq called me up and said, you just leveled my city. I said to him, okay, what are you gonna do about it?

This is Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago bragging about United States foreign policy to somebody who's not a member of our government, not a member of the Australian government either, by the way, just a regular run of the mill billionaire, chilling at Mar-a-Lago, learning about all of these secrets that he should not know about. Uh, and that of course is just kind of one of many. Uh, Pratt also says that Donald Trump told him about the infamous phone call that he had with, uh, Ukrainian President Zelensky, you know, the, the perfect phone call that led to his first impeachment. So he spilled those beans as well, talked about his phone calls to other foreign leaders. And this is all on top of the fact that it was recently revealed that Donald Trump likely spilled secrets about the United States nuclear submarine capabilities, along with the nuclear capabilities of other countries, which of course was top secret classified information.

Now, Mr. Pratt, of course, has spoken to Jack Smith, the special prosecutor. He's told him all of this, you know, and more, let's be real. So the question is, how is Donald Trump not seeking a plea deal in the documents case at this point? I mean, I get that he thinks that Judge Eileen Cannon is gonna save him, or that being in a, you know, 70 30 Trump to Democrat district is gonna give him a favorable jury. But at this point, the evidence is overwhelming. The witness list is overwhelming. 'cause Mr. Pratt is on the witness list. He will be called in court and he will tell these same stories to that jury. Now, if it's just him talking, you know, if he doesn't have any kind of hard evidence to back it up, or if he can't reveal something that's not already public knowledge, you know, to prove that he knew things he should not know,

Uh, then it's gonna be difficult for that testimony alone to sway a jury. But at the same time, the evidence is overwhelming. It's so overwhelming that at this point, I don't know that Judge Cannon can rig the trial enough to save Trump. I mean, we've already seen some extraordinary moves from Judge Cannon, right? She suspended all the deadlines this year, last week, she actually scolded Jack Smith because Trump's people haven't had a chance to set up a secure facility to view the classified documents in like she's doing everything she can to, to favor Donald Trump. But when you have evidence that is this overwhelming, even an unfavorable judge for the prosecution won't be able to fix this trial enough. Now, if this were in front of literally any other judge, I would absolutely say Trump is toast. There's still a chance Judge Cannon may pull this out for Trump.

It may become so overwhelming to the point where she just kind of gives up trying to do things in Trump's favor and just lets us have an honest trial. But things are bad for Trump. This testimony from Pratt is absolutely going to demolish him. And unless you've got 12 people on that jury all wearing MAGA hats, there's a good chance I do believe now that Trump could go down in this trial. And a week ago, obviously, and doesn't matter, Cannon's got it rigged, but this new evidence, this new witness is not new, but he's new to us. I don't know.
