Panicked Ivanka Trump Files Another Motion To Avoid Testifying Against Her Dad

Ivanka Trump successfully managed to get her testimony at the fraud trial pushed back to next week due to a "schedule conflict," and now she's trying to get it dismissed altogether by filing an emergency motion. She's already lost on these grounds, and it is likely that her new motion will end differently. But she is clearly desperate to avoid taking the stand, and that tells us a lot about what she knows and possibly even what she was involved in. Farron Cousins discusses this.

Ivanka Trump was originally set to testify in the New York fraud trial today, but earlier in the week, she was able to tell the court, oh, uh, you scheduled me on a Friday. I got other plans. Like there is a massive schedule conflict and guys, I, I can't make it on Friday. So Judge Arthur Geron was nice enough to say, okay, you can't make it Friday. Totally get it right. You only had a week's notice. Plenty of time for somebody of your stature to rearrange plans, but whatever. Come in next week. So then he moved her testimony from today, the uh, uh, was it the third to next week on November 8th.

And then Ivanka said, Hey, that's really cool. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Oh, by the way, I'm also appealing your ruling that says I have to come and testify, so I'm still gonna try to weasel out of testifying altogether. But hey, thanks for delaying my, my testimony. Did Ivanka Trump lie to the court? Did she lie to the court when she told them she had a, a scheduling conflict? And by golly, I just, I can't be there. And now she turns around and says, oh, by the way, I don't ever want to come. Kind of tells me that she wasn't being forthright with the court, which by the way is a crime. You cannot lie to the court. You cannot fraudulently tell them you have a schedule of conflict when in reality you were just trying to push it back a few days so that you could file the motion of appeal trying to not testify at all.

So far, at least as of this recording, Geron has not addressed that issue. He should, and I think she should immediately be hauled into testify in a little special session about what her actual schedule conflict was, why that schedule was immovable, but the court date was movable and why you decided after I actually pushed it back, that you were just gonna appeal the whole thing. Anyway, Ivanka Trump, as far as I can see it with this particular story, was not being honest with the court. And again, that's illegal. You can't be dishonest with the judge in a filing, in a motion or in testimony or a deposition if you say something that is not true, that is perjury and it is a crime. And I think Geron needs to go ahead and pop her on that. At least bring her in to explain it, to see if he needs to move forward with charges against her. Because to me that seems pretty serious. She pulled one over on the judge to by herself more time so that she could appeal. Having to even come in and testify in the first place. Ivanka's got something to hide. Like that much to me is totally obvious. You already

Lost your first attempt to not have to testify. Then you delay your testifying, then you appeal the judge's decision that says you have to testify. What are you hiding, Ivanka? Are you hiding something that you know is gonna hurt your dad, hurt the business, hurt your brothers? Or are you so terrified that you're going to perjure yourself trying to protect your dad, your company, and your brothers? Because honestly, like you cannot convince me that it's not one of those two things. If you didn't have something to hide, you would have no problem walking into that courtroom sitting on the same stand that your brother sat in and telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But your refusal to do that is a pretty good indication for anybody in the legal industry. They know that when somebody refuses, refuses, refuses fights and fights and fights and fights to not testify, 99.99999% of the time, it's 'cause that person has something to hide. And honestly, I don't think it's any different with Ivanka.
