4:54Now PlayingRepublicans say that they want to have President Biden impeached in the House as soon as April, they just can't seem to find evidence that he actually made money off of foreign business transactions. If they actually want evidence of this, they need to be looking at Donald Trump, as a new report this week found that he made nearly $8 million from foreign governments while playing president for four years. THIS is what corruption actually looks like, as Farron Cousins explains.

Republicans in the House of Representatives made it clear a couple weeks ago that their goal is to have President Biden impeached around April. They said, you know, right after Easter, we're gonna come back and we're probably gonna go ahead and impeach him at that point. And they've been conducting their formal impeachment inquiry now for several weeks. It is now continued into this new year. Uh, so far they don't have any evidence, but they swear their gut is telling them that somewhere there is some kind of evidence showing that the man in the White House took in millions of dollars from foreign governments. And the sad thing is the right, the man that was in the White House did in fact take in millions of dollars from foreign countries while he was president of the United States. It's just unfortunate for Republicans that the man who did that is the man who's actually not in the White House anymore.
A new report from Democrats in the House of Representatives this week has revealed that Donald Trump is the one who made $7.8 million from foreign countries, from 20 different foreign countries while he was serving as president of the United States. That money, of course, went through Trump's businesses. It wasn't just cash handed to Donald Trump, but as Donald Trump was still the owner of the business, the CEO, he did not divest, he still got the profits from the company. Therefore, all of this money that these foreign governments are spending at Trump properties to butter him up and get favorable, you know, uh, uh, decisions from the United States government, it still went in Trump's pocket. Maybe not the full 7.8 million, but it's safe to assume that millions of dollars from foreign governments did land in Trump's pockets by the time all expenses were paid. So Republicans, if you're looking for this corruption, if you're trying to find the man in the White House who took money from foreign governments, you're looking at the wrong guy because it was your guy who did the exact same thing that you are alleging that President Biden had did when he wasn't even president.
He wasn't even vice president at the time. He was a private citizen. And you're mad that a private citizen may have somehow had some kind of ties to his son's business, which was a legitimate business that was doing business in foreign countries. And maybe dad got got a cut of it. Maybe he didn't like nothing that I described right there, which is what he's being investigated for, is illegal. Like, not even close to being illegal. That's literally how businesses work. On the other hand, the Democrats in the house say that Donald Trump very clearly violated the emoluments clause of the US Constitution. So Democrats are able to show that, Hey, look, Trump violated the Constitution $7.8 million. We're not doing anything about it. We
We're sitting here watching you guys investigate Biden for maybe getting a profit off his son's company when he wasn't in office. You wanna find the corruption. You go look at the top of the Republican party's ticket, look at that guy that has 91 felony charges against him. That's where you're gonna find the corruption Republicans, but they've already dismissed it. James Comer said in a statement, after this report was released, he said, this is beyond parody that Democrats continue their obsession with former President Trump. Uh, Trump has legitimate businesses. Their obsession with Donald Trump. You mean their obsession with accountability? Like you are the one who's obsessed with proving something that can't be proven with President Biden and their obsession with Donald Trump. Yeah. Like, how dare you talk about the guy who's gonna be at the top of the Republican ticket in a couple months, right? Like that's somehow stupid to you, that people are talking about somebody who was president of the United States for four years and now he's gonna be the Republican nominee in 2024. It's stupid to talk about him.
