Judge Sets Trap For Trump By Rolling Back Gag Order

But this comes with a catch for Trump - depending on the nature of his attacks, should he level them, he could open himself up for massive defamation lawsuits from anyone in his crosshairs. Donald Trump was handed a minor victory in court this week when Judge Juan Marshan agreed to roll back some of the gag order that he had put in place on Donald Trump during the Hush Money criminal trial. Now, Donald Trump is still not allowed to attack any of the prosecutors or any of the, you know, staffers at the court, or any of the family members of the prosecutors or the judge. He can do that after his sentencing on July 11th. At that point, the entire gag order goes away, but for now, he cannot attack those people. However, the rollback now says that he can go ahead and attack the witnesses, and you can say whatever you want about the jurors. Now, again, that may seem like a mild victory for Donald Trump, right? Like, okay, now I can go after these people. I can really get into the nitty gritty of it.

But what Judge Juan Marshan did, whether he intended to or not, is that he just set a major trap for Donald Trump that Trump is absolutely going to fall into. If you'll remember, it was a woman, is a woman actually by the name of Eugene Carroll. And Eugene Carroll has, uh, won several major defamation lawsuits against Donald Trump, all because he called her a liar. Like that's it. Donald Trump said, she is a liar. She filed defamation lawsuits because he said that, I said, I never met her, never did the things. And then he has to pay her, what? $85 million. Now. Now imagine what Donald Trump is gonna do to people like Michael Cohen or Stormy Daniels. Now that he's free to attack them, you think he's not going to call those people liars. And if he does at that point, much like Eugene Carroll's trials, Michael Cohen or Stormy Daniels, perhaps both of them, maybe at this point, you can get a class action together.

So if he comes out and calls them a liar for something that has already been ruled upon by a jury, they can easily sue and very quickly win a defamation lawsuit against this guy. So Trump may think this is a good thing for him, but in reality, this may be one of the worst things that's ever happened to him, because he cannot control himself. He loves to attack people who go against him. And in this particular instance, because these claims have now been proven in a court of law, if he goes after them on the facts, they can easily, quickly, and probably victoriously hit him for defamation.
