Karoline Leavitt admitted this week that the Trump administration is going to use the government shutdown as an excuse to hide devastating economic data from the public. During a press briefing, Leavitt said that data collection and analysis didn't take place during the shutdown, and they aren't going to be going back and looking at all the terrible things that happened with the economy during that time. This is a flimsy excuse, as past shutdowns haven't caused data to be withheld from the public. Farron Cousins explains what's really happening.
