Dallas Mavericks dancers will be more covered up when the NBA season opens in October thanks to a new policy change.

Mavs CEO Cynthia Marshall says the team wants to shift the focus to skill instead of appearance. The new CEO has a 100-day plan to achieve an overall goal to create a better, more positive image for the NBA team.

The dancers’ looks will get a "toning down" when it comes to the tiny outfits they are typically seen wearing during homes games. The directive will put a wrapper on the team's so-called eye candy.

Marshall is a former human resources specialist and diversity officer who was hired by Mark Cuban in February to lead the team following a scandalous magazine expose that alleged a long pattern of sexual harassment at the corporate office.

Marshall has mandated for the squad to get new, less revealing uniforms. A spokeswoman said the move is "a forward motion to ensure everyone is following the same vision to change the overall culture of the team."

The Mavs dancers have made several appearances at FOX 4 to promote their auditions. Now, it seems clear the 18-member squad's fans will experience their moves in a more family friendly light.

Recently, the San Antonio Spurs made a decision to eliminate its dance team. Their squad will be replaced them with a co-ed spirit team.

The Mavericks say a move to do away with its dancers has never been considered.
