Blue heron rescued from tangled fishing line stuck in tree

A quick-thinking family rescued a blue heron that had become entangled in a fishing line.

Jeff Krause and his kids were fishing on Silver Lake when they noticed the bird trapped in a line hanging from a tree branch. Krause carefully cut the line, allowing the bird to be safely captured in a net. The heron was transported to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville where officials said it is now safe and recovering.
