Video shows two men leaping from a boat to hold the juvenile dolphin while another rescuer used a knife to cut and remove the line, which had caused visible scars and limited mobility. Locals had alerted the Foundation to the calf's struggle, with drone footage confirming the entanglement.
Foundation Head Veterinarian Dr. Claire Madden is optimistic the calf will recover and rejoin its pod, urging all water users to responsibly dispose of fishing gear.
