Footage by local reporter Chali Pittman shows officers and a bulldozer at the intersection of Baldwin and Williamson streets, where 38-year-old Corey Ruiz was shot and killed by an officer nearly two weeks earlier.
On Monday, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway said “those occupying the area need to leave immediately” and said the city would begin “removing the barricades, taking down the tents, and ending the occupation.”
