2:21Now PlayingA body was found Saturday morning on top of a barge that was floating on the Mississippi River, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).
SCSO said deputies responded about 7:30 a.m. to a location about 2 miles from the Meeman-Shelby Forest boat ramp along the Mississippi River just north of Downtown Memphis.
According to SCSO, barge employees were conducting a check on the boat when they found the woman's body. Investigators said it’s too early to tell whether foul play was involved. MORE: fox13.tv/3McqsnV
