Myles Rice was an outside linebacker at Central High School and had dreams of playing at LSU.

But that dream was cut short Oct. 14, when he was shot in the back while riding in a car with three other teens. His uncle, Kevin Phipps, said Rice suffered injuries to his arm, shoulders, chest, lungs and spinal cord, which paralyzed him.
