9:41Now PlayingTwo police officers and two suspects were shot in an exchange of gunfire during the early morning hours of Friday, April 12, 2024, in Whitehaven, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Police said that officers were shot at as they approached a suspicious car around 2 a.m. at Horn Lake Road and Charter Avenue. They returned fire, hitting the suspects. One of the suspects was immediately arrested, while the other ran off but was later caught nearby, MPD said.
FOX13 arrived to the scene and found one car riddled with what appears to be bullet holes. The officers and suspects were rushed to Regional One Health, police said; their conditions are unknown.
