Data centers draw enormous amounts of electricity and water, and communities from Tulsa to Santiago to Dublin are asking the same questions: who was consulted, who profits, and who pays the utility bill. Oklahoma's Data Center Consumer Ratepayer Protection Act took effect July 1, 2026, and the rules are being written right now at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
