Letters to My Past (Evangelical) Self

I used to be an Evangelical, but now I'm an atheist. These are letters I've written to my past, Christian self which have helped me process the huge worldview changes I've undergone. I hope they can help a few others too. #LettersToMe

If I, a former Christian turned atheist, were to speak to my past self, you might think I'd want to explain how I became an atheist. In reality though, I think I'd just try to show myself that it's ok to be an individual. I was Independent Fundamental Baptist growing up, and that meant I faced judgement from God and the church for listening to secular music, having shaggy hair, and wearing clothes that...actually fit me. Now that I'm an agnostic atheist who's a few years past the deconstruction of my Christian faith, I see how absurd that judgement was.
