17:32Now PlayingAncient Christians had huge theological questions which, today, we tend not to think about. Ebionites and Marcionites clashed over docetism, Marcion disputed the idea that god of the Old Testament was in league with Jesus, and early greek christians likely glossed over Jesus’ teachings about the afterlife as a Jewish apocolypticist. Caught up in the hot theological issues of our time, we often forget about ancient questions like those covered here.
Did Jesus have a physical body? Was Jesus the son of Yahweh? Did Jesus teach about heaven and hell? Informed by critical scholarship (especially that of Dr. Bart Ehrman), I explore these questions here.
