16:55Now PlayingThe latest statistics for the Friday, March 6 Coronavirus update:
-over 100 thousand people are infected around the world
-but over 56 thousand patients have recovered, and over 3 thousand dead
-14 Americans have died, from now 231 confirmed cases across the nation
-Doctors say the rate of those recovered far surpasses the death rate or even hospitalization
-16 percent of all cases are considered "serious" (require hospitalization), which continues to drop -- it was at 19 percent last week and 17 percent yesterday.
-the CDC released a list of disinfectants that should actually work against COVID-19
Elsewhere, a man from New Zealand who's been confirmed with coronavirus attended a live Tool concert where he used the restroom and visited the concession stand...Glenn reminds people to NOT be a tool, and stay HOME if you are experiencing symptoms...which may become progressively easier: events around the world continue to be cancelled, including the Global Health Conference (where President Trump was scheduled to speak) for the first time in the event's 58 year history. Elsewhere, a nurse who began experiencing symptoms after treating a COVID 19 patient called out the CDC in a public statement for not having enough testing kits for nurses at risk. But, Glenn pushes back -- there aren't enough tests for everyone, so kits need to be prioritized for those displaying the most severe symptoms. And, as a union member she should understand: inadequate testing kits is a symptom of socialized medicine.
