43:48Now PlayingOn June 7th, 2021, Alex called 911 to report that his wife and son had been shot at their Moselle estate in Islandton, South Carolina. In 2021, many of the criminal acts that Alex had committed started to surface, which got him fired from his law firm. Many strange deaths have occurred surrounding the Murdaugh family, including Mallory Beach, Stephen Smith, and Gloria Satterfield.
Alex Murdaugh's trial for the murders of Maggie and Paul started on January 25th, 2023 and on March 3rd, 2023, he was sentenced to two consecutive life in prison sentences without the possibility of parole. He was taken to the Kirkland Correctional Institution in northwester Columbia, South Carolina, and will be sent to a maximum security prison within 45 days.
