57:33Now Playing31-year-old Majorjon Kaylor has been charged with the quadruple homicide of a family who lived downstairs in a duplex unit in Kellogg, Idaho. The victims are: enneth Guardipee, 65, Kenna Guardipee, 41, Devin Smith, 18, and Aiken Smith, 16.
One week before the shootings, the Kaylor family had called the police to report Devin Smith for indecent exposure (Kaylor's family lived in the top unit, Smith's family in the bottom unit). “We responded to the call, investigated the call, and the report was done that day and submitted to the prosecutor’s office for charges. I stand by what my officer did, and he did everything he could at the time. Nobody could have foreseen anything like this", Kellogg Police Chief Paul Twidt said.
Majorjon admitted to what he had done when interview by the police and was arrested and charged with the four murders. On Tuesday, June 20th, he was arraigned; a preliminary hearing has been set for July 3rd, 2023. The state has indicated that they will not be seeking the death penalty in this case.
