Sarai Perez’s Silent Plea: A Hawaii Mother’s Deadly Failure

The Janae Perez case involves Janae Perez and her partner Ashleigh Utley, who were charged with Murder in the Second Degree, Kidnapping, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping, and Hindering in the First Degree following the death of Perez’s three-year-old daughter, S.P., on June 13, 2024, in Kapolei, Honolulu. Despite claiming S.P.’s death resulted from sibling aggression, the investigation found they failed to seek medical care as her condition worsened, leading to arrest warrants with a $1,000,000 bail set by Judge Tracy Fukui.
