Gilgo Beach BREAKTHROUGH! Identity of Peaches and Baby Doe REVEALED? LIVE Press Conference!

On June 28th, 1997 the dismembered remains of a Jane Doe were found inside a Rubbermaid container in Hempstead Lake Park, Lakeview, New York. She was nicknamed "Peaches" due to a heart-shaped peach tattoo with a bite taken out of it on her left breast. Additional remains (arms and legs) were discovered on April 11, 2011, near Jones Beach State Park, linked via DNA to the 1997 torso. Her skull remains missing, and she was likely aged 16-30, with a 6-inch abdominal scar possibly from a C-section.

The remains of an unidentified female toddler, estimated to be 16 months to 4 years old, were found on April 4, 2011, wrapped in a blanket near Ocean Parkway, close to Gilgo Beach. DNA confirmed she was Peaches' daughter. She wore gold hoop earrings, a 16-inch gold necklace, and showed no visible trauma. Her remains were found near those of another LISK victim, Valerie Mack. In 2022, the FBI sought relatives of Elijah “Lige” Howell/Howard (d. 1963, Alabama) to aid identification, possibly via genetic genealogy, but no public resolution followed until 2025. On April 23, 2025, Nassau County Police announced a press conference to reveal the identities of Peaches and Baby Doe, indicating a breakthrough after nearly three decades.
