50:15Now PlayingOn April 3rd, 2022, 27-year-old Christian “Toby” Obumseli was fatally stabbed in the chest inside the luxury 'One Paraiso' condominium he shared with his girlfriend, OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney (then 26), in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood.
Clenney called 911 and claimed she acted in self-defense, saying Obumseli had attacked her and that she threw a kitchen knife at him from several feet away. Prosecutors disputed her account, arguing the depth and angle of the wound were inconsistent with a thrown knife and pointed to a history of DV in which they alleged Clenney was the aggressor. Elevator surveillance footage, secret recordings made by Obumseli, and prior police calls painted a picture of a highly toxic and volatile relationship.
Clenney was not arrested that night. Four months later, in August 2022, she was taken into custody at a rehabilitation facility in Hawaii and charged with second-degree murder. She has remained in custody ever since.
After years of delays, motions, and intense public scrutiny, Courtney Clenney reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in July 2026. Today we will watch the formal plea and sentencing hearing (August 10th, 2026), taking place in Miami-Dade County court.
