If Donald Trump had lost the 2024 election, he would be in a prison cell. Hawk walks through the full arc of how that became possible and then didn't happen. Trump was indicted on 91 felony counts across four jurisdictions, convicted on 34 of them by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for illegally influencing the 2016 election through payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. Six weeks after those convictions, the Supreme Court invented presidential immunity out of language that does not exist anywhere in the Constitution.
Hawk covers Kamala Harris's complete electoral record, winning every race she entered across San Francisco, the state of California, and the United States Senate before becoming vice president, and contrasts that with the 77 million Americans who chose not to vote for her. He also addresses Joe Biden's legislative record in his first two years alongside Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, arguing it surpassed every two-term president in recent memory on substance if not on recognition.
Hawk closes on Trump's two-decade friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Barr's father giving Epstein his first job, and the fact that Barr was running the Federal Bureau of Prisons when Epstein died in August 2019.
