Joe Rogan spent a segment warning Republicans that Texas just made a political mistake, and Hawk thinks he is right about the politics even if the rest of the show is not his thing.
A hemp derived THC ban took effect July 31st, following a Texas Supreme Court ruling in May. Delta 8, Delta 10, THCP, and THCA flower are out. Delta 9 stays legal below the 0.3 percent dry weight threshold, which leaves ordinary customers to work out which shelf is now a felony.
The penalties are the part that stands out. A single gram can carry jail time and a state felony, which means losing firearm rights permanently in Texas. Larger quantities scale up fast. Products bought legally weeks ago are now contraband.
Seven years of legal sales built a multibillion dollar industry with real employees and real customers across both parties. Rogan's argument is that those people vote, and James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa are both running close races.
