RFK Jr has launched a million and a half dollar vaccine study targeting poor black babies and mothers in a West African country to support his antivax agenda against the hepatitis B vaccine. After firing every member of the vaccine advisory council ACIP, RFK Jr replaced them with antivax activists like Dr. Malone who are now questioning a vaccine that has been proven safe and effective for 40 to 50 years through hundreds of studies. The hepatitis B vaccine prevents babies from contracting hepatitis B and saves thousands from dying of liver failure later in life.
The new antivax panel held a two day meeting that descended into recommending the hepatitis B vaccine be delayed or not given to babies at all. Instead of helping a country riddled with hepatitis B, RFK Jr plans to experiment on poor black populations to justify changing vaccine recommendations in the United States. The study exploits vulnerable African communities not to save lives but to advance antivax ideology.
Hawk examines how RFK Jr has cut billions of dollars in funding for medical research while Elon Musk eliminated USAID, which saved 92 million lives globally in the 20 years ending in 2024. USAID cuts have already caused an estimated 600,000 to 700,000 deaths among the world's poorest people this year alone. Two white privileged multimillionaires are responsible for killing millions of the most helpless people on the planet through policies that strip away vaccine protections and humanitarian aid. The overtly racist implications of experimenting on poor black babies while denying proven medical interventions to vulnerable populations reveals the horrific human cost of this administration's antivax and anti-humanitarian policies.
