Marjorie Taylor Greene sat down with Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes to discuss her falling out with Donald Trump over the Jeffrey Epstein files. Greene signed a discharge petition demanding the DOJ release portions of the Epstein investigation, which reportedly sent Trump into a rage. She recounts receiving pipe bomb threats and death threats against her son after Trump publicly called her a traitor. The question remains: if Trump has nothing to hide regarding Epstein, why would he react so violently to the release of these files? Trump's name appeared nearly 2,000 times in 20,000 pages of Epstein emails released by House Republicans, while Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were absent.
Greene told Stahl that Republican members regularly mock Trump in private but remain terrified of his violent base. She also addressed voting against condemning antisemitism, explaining that AIPAC essentially controls House votes on Israel-related issues. Trump responded with a furious Truth Social post calling Greene "Marjorie Trader Brown" and a "rotten apple," demanding apologies from CBS and Leslie Stahl.
His unhinged reaction only confirms the accuracy of Greene's statements about death threats and his panic over Epstein files. While Greene remains problematic on nearly every other issue, including her history of racism, bigotry, and support for the January 6 insurrection, she's correct about Epstein files needing release and AIPAC influence on Congress. Trump'sdementia-laden tirade proves he's a fragile man baby terrified of what those Epstein files contain.
