And to deal with this problem they offered a bounty for every dead cobra delivered to them, and it turned out to be a huge success! Thousands and thousands of dead cobras started showing up at their doorstep and yet the infestation never seemed to get any smaller, because they created a market for cobra farmers to breed as many snakes as possible. So they cancelled the policy, and with no way to make a profit, all the farmers freed their cobras. This account may not be historically accurate, but there are several other real life examples...
