as posted by the channelThe execution of the the Russian imperial family happened in 1918 after the Bolsheviks had seized power during the October Revolution (1917). When the Russian Civil War was in full swing the tsar and his family were evacuated to Yekaterinburg. They were interned in the Ipatiev House, referred to as the "house of special purpose". In the Summer of 1918 they were executed by the local Bolsheviks.
