3:34Now PlayingEl Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele largely toed the line of his American counterpart Donald Trump on the issue of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who was wrongly deported there last month. During a visit to Washington on Monday, Bukele said it's "preposterous" to suggest he return Garcia, insisting that he had no power to return him to the United States. Bukele also repeatedly branded Gracia a 'terrorist', largely speaking the same tone of the Trump administration, which believes that the Maryland man is a member of the MS-13 gang that they branded as a terrorist organisation.

Trump referred questions about Garcia to Attorney General Pam Bondi, who said he was illegally in the U.S. and that courts have ruled that Abrego Garcia was a member of MS-13.
