Poilievre accused Prime Minister Mark Carney of coming up short on the promised “big win” with President Donald Trump, demanding clarity on whether Carney’s upcoming White House meeting will eliminate tariffs on autos, softwood lumber, steel, aluminum and other Canadian exports. He declared “no more losing!”, blamed the government for concessions on counter-tariffs and digital levies, and warned 86,000 Canadians have lost jobs because of weak trade outcomes.
The opposition warned Carney that Canadians need tangible results — not another photo op — as pressure mounts ahead of tomorrow’s Washington talks.
