US News: In a heated exchange, FBI Director Kash Patel was directly confronted by a reporter over explosive allegations published by *The Atlantic*, questioning whether his alleged unexplained absences posed a national security risk—and even asking if he had ever been intoxicated on the job.

“I do want to give you an opportunity to respond directly to the allegations… can you say definitively that you have not been intoxicated or absent during your tenure as FBI Director?” the reporter pressed.
