1:20Now PlayingActress Doris Day may have saved her son from being one of Charles Manson's victims. In a new book by The Beach Boys' Mike Love, he writes that Day insisted her son, music producer Terry Melcher, move out of his rented home on Cielo Drive because he refused to work with Charles Manson who wanted to become a musician. Melcher listened to his mother, and seven months later in August 1969, Manson and his followers killed 5 people at that address. Melcher died in 2004 from skin cancer at age 62. #InsideEdition
