as posted by the channel

David Letterman's mother, Dorothy Mengering, a frequent guest of his show, has passed away at 95-years-old. The Midwesterner made multiple appearances on her son's legendary program and was a special correspondent for the Winter Olympics three times. Dorothy often delivered Letterman's trademark "Top 10" lists from her kitchen and even landed an interview with then-First Lady Hillary Clinton in 1994. Sadly, Mengering passed the day before her son's 70th birthday. #InsideEdition
