Lancetfish are typically found 6000-feet below the ocean’s surface, snacking on each other. These guys are cannibals! Oceanographer Ethan Portner explains lancetfish are, “a medium sized open ocean predator.” And while lancetfish sightings are rare, you never know what you might find coming out of the ocean.
