Before the attack, Fierro and his family were enjoying themselves in Colorado's Club Q. When the shooting began, Fierro jumped into action. He pulled the gunman down and hit him repeatedly. Fierro's daughter Kassandra broke her knee escaping the bullets. Sadly, her boyfriend, Raymond Green Vance, was one of the five slain victims.
