1:53Now PlayingAstronaut Walter Cunningham, the last surviving member of the Apollo 7 mission, has died. Cunningham served in both the Navy and the U.S. Marine Corp, joining NASA in 1963. He was most renowned for his work on the Apollo missions. Cunningham was the lunar module pilot for the 11-day flight of Apollo 7, which provided the first live television transmission of onboard crew activities. Walter Cunningham was 90 years old.
