When it was time to fly home to California, her flight waited on the tarmac to de-ice for 13 hours. After they were allowed off of the plane, she says they were told it would take 48 hours to be rebooked. Instead, Itatani and her friends headed to the border of Canada and the U.S. in an Uber, where they had to walk the last mile and a half through the snow.
