1:08Now PlayingPele was laid to rest in the world’s tallest cemetery. Located in Santos, Brazil, the Ecumenical Memorial Necropolis is 14 floors high. Two bronze statues of Pele flank the entrance to the memorial site. Pele mourners will visit the 9th floor, reportedly chosen to honor his father, who once wore a number 9 jersey. Despite holding the record for the tallest cemetery in the world, the owners have plans to more than double the height up to 32 stories.
