1:31Now PlayingPolice say a woman shot and killed her terminally ill husband inside Advent Health Daytona Beach in Florida. The suspect, Ellen Gilland, had confined herself to his room and refused to put the gun down, police say. Eventually, police got her to surrender after a four-hour long standoff. Police say the shooting was planned by the couple. “The plan was a murder-suicide. So she killed him and then she was going to turn the gun on herself, but decided she couldn't go through with it,” Police Chief Jakari Young said.
