Police say 76-year-old Ellen Gilland shot her 77-year-old husband in the head, which killed him instantly. Authorities also say the couple made a suicide pack. The wife agreed to shoot her husband when his health took a turn for the worse and then she would turn the gun on herself. But Gilland decided that she could not go through with it.
