1:17Now PlayingOfficer Joao Loyola climbed into a river looking for two people who hadn’t been seen since their home collapsed in dangerous landslides. He was one of three rescuers searching the river bank, and was the last to be pulled up on the ropes. The freezer and other debris slid from the unstable homes above. Heavy rains have caused the land to be too soft to hold structures. Authorities have ordered the evacuation of all of the houses in this area, fearing additional landslides.
