It’s the first time the invasive species has been spotted in the United States. The hornets feast on honeybees, which aren’t able to defend themselves. Felicia Renick works at the Savannah Bee Company, and says she witnessed the hornets attacking bees from their apiary. “I was in shock,” she told Inside Edition Digital.
