Body camera footage shows Officer Schroeder retrieving an anti-choking device to use on the little boy. The Austin Police Department confirms Schroeder purchased the device with his own money in order to be prepared for situations like this. Doctors determined the little boy was choking on his own saliva. Thankfully, he is expected to make a full recovery.
