According to the Audubon Society, there are fewer than 10,000 yellow-billed loons in the world. Experts aren’t sure how this usually coastal creature made it to the desert of Nevada. The Nevada Department of Wildlife says biologists safely captured and relocated the loon to a more suitable and remote location.
